JOB PURPOSE

As Byte’s Production Manager you will bring to life ideas that capture audiences’ attentions, inspire behaviour change and make a real difference to our clients’ businesses. Beyond the everyday responsibilities of individual project briefs you’ll shape how Byte approaches production, bringing vision, leadership and new ideas.

You’ll be a highly-motivated and exceptionally-organised person, knowledgeable in both video and stills production including shooting for different channels, platforms and formats. You will bring a roster of industry contacts and maintain excellent relationships with the partners and clients we work with. You will work across all of our accounts, often at the same time, planning shoots, managing budgets and communicating with clients and other agencies. Within Byte you’ll be adept at operating both independently and collaboratively with Creative Planners, Designers (Motion / AR / Conversation), videographers, editors and photographers to execute ideas with a high level of craft.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of Production Manager is exciting and fast-moving. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee our creative production (as it pertains to videography & photography) – advising on production requirements (equipment, costs, logistics, teaming, location choice etc.)

  • Plan shoots (video, stills, sound), sourcing crew and equipment, finding studio locations, casting, location scouting

  • Manage production budgets and produce cost-estimates

  • Create and oversee production timelines

  • Negotiate fees to deliver the best value for our clients

  • Agree contract terms with clients and other agencies

  • Respond to urgent requests, turning around shoots at short notice

  • Ensure shoots run smoothly on set, from sending call sheets to monitoring schedules

In addition, you will:

  • Keep up to date with the latest digital trends

  • Maintain a roster of excellent production contacts

  • Present work internally and externally

  • Contribute to our creative process by sharing your ideas and experience

  • Maintain effective, professional relationships with team members and colleagues

  • Participate in team training/meetings and events when asked

  • Regularly contribute content to the company’s digital presences

  • Ability to react quickly within a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to remain focused under pressure and work under tight deadlines

  • Above average written and verbal English communication skills

  • Advanced Internet research and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Proficiency in the use of Office

  • Ability to work within a team as well as with clients

  • A love for learning new things and exploring new formats

Desirable:

  • Experience with social media marketing, understanding its potential and its limitations

  • Experience with food photography/video shoots

  • Experience working with talent (fashion and music)

  • Experience with livestreaming

  • Proficiency with other Adobe Creative Suite programs
